Episode 2 - Welcome to Magix
We begin this episode right where we left off on the last episode. We she Stella, Blooms' parents, and Bloom heading to Alfea. However Bloom's parents are then stopped by a magical barrier. This magical barrier keeps all non magical beings out. The way Mikes face looks as he is trying to push through the barrier is super funny. Bloom's parents and Bloom then say their goodbyes. We then met Ms. Griselda how is letting people into Alfea only if their names are on the list. Panic then set into Bloom's heart since her name is not on the list.
However Stella has an amazing plan. Varanda, the Princess of Callisto was supposed to attend this year, but for some reason she decided against it. Stella suggested the Bloom should take her place; however, Bloom is not to sure about it. "Anyway no one here knows the Princess of Callisto." -Stella Bloom and Stella then carry on to Griselda. We also find out the Stella got into some trouble last year. It really shows that Stella is quite the trouble makers and can lie here and there. "You are not here to learn hocus-pocus" - Griselda While I understand why students should not use their powers outside of class I do also think it is a little bit dumb since they are fairies they should use their powers to practice. Headmistress Ms. Faragonda then welcomes they students and warns them to stay away from the witches of Clould Tower. "Stay away from the witches of Cloud Tower" - Stella imitating Ms. Faragonda. While Stella does poke some fun at Faragonda she does mention was a nice and helpful women she is. Stella then proceeds to explain the three schools. Stella and Bloom make their way to their dorm or apartment as they call it, and meet Flora. It think it was great touch on how Flora knocked down the plant when greeting Bloom and Stella, however I do wish here reaction was a lacking a bit. The "Oh my!"- Flora was not doing it for me. Bloom slips up a little bit and says her name is Bloom, but the fixes her mistake. We are then greeted by Tecna and Musa. Musa's joke when coming in really showed her funny personality I loved it.Stella suggests they should go and get some food. Bloom says they should go for some pizza, but none of them what that it is. I liked how it showed the cultural difference between earth and the magical dimension. The girls then proceed to take Bloom to Magix, but once there Bloom is disappointed, because it doesn't look like all the books she has read. Stella then explains to Bloom that all of that is just fairy tails stuff, and that this is the real world. Sigh the harsh reality. Pretty sure Bloom thought it would looks something like Harry Potter. Next we see Knut shopping for glasses, annd he picked out ones that game him style, but still made him look like a scary monster. As Bloom is making a phone call to her parents she notices Knut spying one her friends. Bloom decides to follow him. Bloom then lays her eyes on threes witches Icy, Darcy, and Stormy. These three witches are the voices from before. They are talking about getting Stella's scepter. Darcy the witch in the dark purple outfit senses Bloom, and they play a little trick on her. The three witches then keep on hurting Bloom until Tecna notices it is taking Bloom a pretty long time to get back. The girls then interfere with the the three witches and save Bloom. Loved the transformation it's super nostalgic. I honestly love Stella's solo transformation with her song in episode 1 it always gives me chills .
.They then save Bloom from the three witches, and Stella accidentally let's out the Bloom is the not Princess Varanda. The girls then try to sneak back into Alfea, because they are super late; however, they are caught by, Headmistress Faragonda and Ms. Griselda. Ms. Griselda then questions Bloom if she is really the Princess of Callisto. I honestly found this part super cheesy, didn't like it at all. Bloom tells the truth, and while Ms. Griselda was really to kick Bloom out but, Headmistress Faragonda let's Bloom stay, because she didn't think there were any fairies left on earth, and I'm guessing maybe wanted to monitor the whole thing. Bloom then mentions that they should have a group name since they will be staying together. Stella mentions that the three witches are called The Trix. Bloom says the should be called the Winx. Stella gives a couple of example like the Super 5, Stella 5 or, the airyfairies (if that's how you even spell it). "Sadly" Stella is out voted. I did enjoy this episode however, some things in my opinion were lacking like the Flora and the plant thing, and the whole conversation Bloom gave to headmistress Faragonda on not being the princess of Callisto. Winx Stars - 8.5/10
